How A Hearing Aid Is Dispensed

Stage one

Once you have contacted us by telephone, an appointment will be made for a qualified hearing aid dispenser to test your hearing in the comfort of your own home.

Stage two

The dispenser, when at your home, will ask you pertinent questions regarding your hearing history, carry out a full examination of your ears using an otoscope and test your hearing fully using portable testing equipment.

Stage three

After your test you will be fully informed of the results straight away. If referral to your G.P. is not required and hearing aids are your only course of action you will be given information as to the cost of such equipment.

Stage four

If you wish to proceed to hearing better, the dispenser will take impressions of your ear/ears which will be sent to the hearing aid manufacturing laboratories and used to make hearing aids uniquely to fit your ear/ears and hearing loss. This normally takes 10-14 days and on completion the dispenser will visit you again to fit the hearing aid/aids. He will not leave until you are fully able to insert and use the hearing aid without assistance.

Stage five

The dispenser will call to see you a week later to ensure you are benefiting from the device and offer assistance and advice accordingly. The hearing aid/aids can be returned within 30 days for a full refund if not completely satisified.
